Friday was interesting... we were naming Bumblefuck the UberBook and one of my suggestions was "Le Grande Llama de Royale!" and then.. me being so Sammeh-ish..went of on the tangent "In France.. they don't call it a 'Big Mac'.. they call it.. 'a royale with cheese'" and Steph was all stunned that I had seen Pulp Fiction.. I proceded in the "don't be a square" quote.. and she had no idea how into cult movies I am.. my dad has training my siblings and I in all the areas of movies... I consider myself an expert in cinema.. I have seen many many movies.. many inappropriate for me at the age I saw them.. we have rented more than a thousand blockbuster movies since I was born.. I've seen silent movies... many many black and whites.. things from every genre.. everything.... I watch a lot of foreign films too. My dad takes considerable pride in the fact that my brother and myself are experts and even though we aren't much for memorizing stuff for school.. we have photographic memories of everything we've ever seen... I can quote stuff that I saw extremely early in my childhood yet not remember some major thing in my life from that same year. Anyway.... so I have a really hard time when someone asks me "so what's your favorite movie".. I like that.. I take pride in it.. I can recommend some extremely good (at least I think so) movies.. its so funny.. we can't go to Blockbuster because we've seen everything... the only stuff I haven't seen is on my own choice... the crap that soils the industry.. stupid teen flicks... I despise those... I don't like much that the stereotypical teenage likes... I don't want to get labeled... just an odd facet... anyway.. I am compiling a mini-list of movies types I've seen and really liked.. tee hee:

British gangster movies, I really love... I know that sounds wierd but Guy Richie (Madonna's husband) made two kickass ones: Snatch and Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels
Today I saw another.. it was really complex but it rocked: 24 Hours in London
Another thing about those movies.. they all have extremely kickass soundtracks.. mostly techno-ish but it is reeeallly cool... so I like those.

Italian movies, Italians can really make movies... they have made awesome comedies.. that Roberto Benigni.. he own an Oscar for "Life is Beautiful" which was very funny... but by the end had me crying.. he made two 2 VERY funny movies: Le Monstre and Johnny Stecchino. I also liked "Bread and Tulips" which was a very interesting movie

Basically.. I think that with the booming movie industry in Hollywood... so many people miss out on stuff that comes from overseas.. get some culture people!

I do.. though... love American movies... way to many to list... I love them from all periods.. I've seen more Jimmy Stewart movies than I can count.. James Bond has played a huge part in my life.. Jaws.. Ghostbusters.. Indiana Jones.. tee hee.. Pulp Fiction.. a lot of good stuff.. National Lampoon... I saw Animal House at age 10.. maybe 9.. anyone who has seen that knows that hahaha.. so anyway.. I enjoy being a movie buff.... ^_^ soooo if you think you have seen "everything" in the rental store.. I can always give something to watch

The first time I ever was Pulp Fiction was when I was eight.
I was really too young to understand it...
