New Domain
Jul. 25th, 2005 04:04 pmSo after some investigation, I've found out some stuff about my web host of 2 years. Apparently they fired everyone except for like.. one person. The complaints online have been abundant since January. A lot of people have had trouble getting their domains unlocked from stupid cyberpixels since they aren't answering any help tickets.
I'm going to bail ship. I don't want to deal with their bitchiness over my domain. It will probably be up for grabs in 6 months or something.
Should I just do a .com with the same name or should I change my domain name to something? I just so friggin' pissed off. I need to have the billing turned off since I found out things expire on the 5th and I wouldn't put it past these assholes to rebill me for nothing. Luckily billing is handled through a different company - a reliable one. Overall I'm extremely sad, I was so so so happy with them for years but this is just ridiculous.
edit// how about just "sarahtosh.net" It's close enough and I won't really have to change much. It references my high school dorkiness enough and the whole mad "sammehtosh" phenomenon that swept the earth but it would also work if I wanted to do something professionally-ish with it.
Google defines "tosh" as:
baloney: pretentious or silly talk or writing
I think that's exactly what my website is - crap that secretes pretension. With my name on it's basically "Sarah's crap .com"
