It sucked, so I deleted it. I'm going to go ride the sleepy train.
Wow, I'm like.. 4 years old. Awesome. Seriously, "Yay!" for inner children.
I finished the newsletter. I feel like a rock god. I got to whip out all of my awesome newspaper InDesign skills and use them for the power of awesome. I'm so pleased with myself.

"The Merchant of Venice" was not the feel good movie of the year. I actually liked "Constantine" better, Catholic mythology is the shit even though I can't buy into the dogmas.
I always wanted to study mythology. I sometimes forget about that, but it's true. I don't think they offer anything like that at UO - but I think it would be cool to wallow in the Greek, Norse, Asian, Religious, etc. legends and analyze all the symbols. That would be the only path of study where I would voluntarily read the material. However, I don't know - Joseph Campbell was a mythologist and that book "The Power of Myth' caused me to want to gouge out my eyes Oedipus style. I really fucking hated that book. The topics were cool, but the way he and Bill Moyers talked about them couldn't have been less interesting. Of course, Sarah was trying to read it the day before her AP English 4 summer reading comprehension test, that may have played into my hate (especially since it was like.. 300 pages of dense conversation). I should try to read it again and not get my knickers in a twist.
*Note to self: Add that to list of things to bring back from Houston.
I know everyone is counting the days until I'm home so you can bask in my marvelousness. I don't know if I'm flying Friday or Saturday, but it's this week. I'm going to go home and give things hugs. That sounds weird but I'm just feeling it right now. That's probably a cue that I should go to bed now.

Spring break will be relaxing and serve to appease my conscience & paranoias. I have all sorts of doctor appointments scheduled so I can make sure I'm not going blind and that my teeth aren't rotting out of my skull. SWEET!

Date: 2005-03-16 06:28 pm (UTC)John's pictures from Europe were developed. They remind me very much of the pictures I took on my eighth grade trip to Springfield and Salem Illinois: mostly pictures of my friends sitting inside a bus!
John and Anthony are working out at the Y and they both want to sign up to go to climbing wall instructor camp (instead of summer camp with the troop).
