We saw the Incredibles today as Mary's official unofficial birthday celebration. It was awesome. We went back to Chili's where fun ensued. While waited for our waitress, I started making fun of the sugar packets. Splenda is so huge in the news, so in my best Foxxy Brown voice "Tastes like suga, cuz it's made from suga." Mary then began making fun of the Sweet n' Low - "Tastes like shit cuz it's made from shit." I, then, in pursuit of a way to mock the real sugar scanned the packet for material.
The sugar company was called "Dixie Crystals." LMFAO! I noted that it sound like a Southern Meth dealer's name when someone suggested it could be a porno name. So I took it on as my own. Dixie is funny but "Dicksy" or "Dicksee" would be more appropriate. Either way, it's badass and crack-ho-ish. Well this became the phenomena of the night and it became a mission to come up with porno names for everyone on our end of the table. After much consideration, Mary was deemed "Saucy Blossoms" (twas' Chili's after all). Niki's was a bit harder but totally worth the extra effort - "Honey Suckles." Rachel's was sheer divine inspiration - after trying all sorts of food stuffs, adjectives, and silly words, I came up with... ::drumroll:: "Fanny Smacks." It was fantastic and my stomach was in so much pain I was laughing so hard.
On our way back to Rachel's, we came up with "Butter Shanks" which just sounds hilarious even if it isn't totally porno-ish.

I'm currently trying to construct an 80s mix. I don't know why I'm suddenly so obsessed with 80s/90s pop. Geez, as a usual disciple of the church of indie/alternative - I've kind of become a heretic. I think right now I'm just really happy, and all I want to do is listen to spaz music. As much as I love zoning out (a good dormroom hobby since it doesn't disturb the neighbors or require a lot of space), I've been driving around and going to parties which is an entirely different animal (and thus requires an entirely different soundtrack). I think I'll start 90s much later (that thing will be frikkin' huge, I would probably have to break it into a couple chunks since it tis' the music of my childhood). I think my list is going pretty swell for 80s though. I'm not really going for one genre - I'm just trying to get what I think are defining bits. I know I have to put something by Michael Jackson, Madonna, The Police, & probably the Culture Club Paula Abdul (oh dearz. But I'm also putting on all the stuff that everyone has probably heard even if they don't know the name of the band. Depeche Mode, Tears for Fears, INXS, etc. etc. Oh, and of course New Order and The Cure will be on there.. a lot. It's already looking to be a 2-CD thing. I think I've only adopted this project to avoid my architecture application. Haha. When I'm done, I'll post a track list and if anyone wants to make suggestions for a third disk or request a copy.
Anyway, Dixie Crystals signing out..
