I got an A+ in my honors section Microeconomics class so that equated to a 4.3 (you get +/- .3 if you get a +/- on your letter grade). My Architecture grade has now processed and based on my 5 projects and class notes, I got an A. I got a Pass in my colloquium. Sooo, currently my GPA is a 4.15. Ok, so I expect Italian to pull that up a bit and physics to drag it down some. Overall, I feel decent. Woo 18 credits and it not being suicide.
I'm learning to knit. I was making my first scarf but it was too wide, I ended up using a whole ball of yarn to make something about 7x8 inches so I'm starting over and making it skinnier. The same thing happened when I was knitting with my APO yarn. I think I'm going to make a really skinny scarf out of that - really skinny but hopefully really long. I'm so excited. For my first scarf (pink) I have these gigantic needles that look like those things you use to read the torah. It's been a good boredom killer. My mom has been knitting like crazy lately - she's getting pretty good.
We went to Nordstrom's today and I got some stuff. My mom bought me this black opal broach that's so pretty. I thought it was cool and she liked it and she said she was buying it for me because "buying opal for yourself is bad luck." So I'l probably trade it back off to her after I've worn it once or twice.
Man, I've been in Houston two days and I already feel all crappish from all the food. Jesus, it just rains food here. It's been nice so maybe I'll walk the dogs tomorrow so I don't feel so bad. My grandma bought us toffee and it's so fantastic - I don't even usually like nuts but damn, they were awesome. Oh the guilty pleasures of the holidays.
Anyway. I'm just forcing this writing. I'm kind of tired - so far, it's been a successful venture at home. I was able to help John with a school project (he got a 110) and it's been fun having battles of the wits with Anthony. Nora hasn't been surly and the dogs are attention hogs as always. Things are basically where I left them and while I'm looking forward to soaking up old life, I don't want to reverse the progress I've made in the last couple months. I still can't wait to see people. woo!
