So close yet so friggin' far..
Dec. 8th, 2004 07:43 pmOk, so economics - done as of 10 AM. It was pretty hard - I think I definitely messed up on 2/6 questions. I don't know how much he will take off. I'm a tad crestfallen, I did ok in that class averaging exactly 89 for the entire term (except one homework where I got a 96 :D). I *hope* I do ok, I'm just worried.
Tomorrow is physics. ohmaygawd. When midterms were in full kick, Amelia our pledge educator asked us - "midterms or a kick in the face." Then we got into the specifics of "who" and "with what shoe."
David Beckham with a steel-toed boot. For serious. I'd take it for an A.
Honestly I really need to just sit down and study for a bit - I just can't do it. The prospect of discovering how little I actually know scares me shitless. I at least looked over my midterms - he is going to give us "easy" questions on stuff through the midterms. To his credit, his questions aren't ever fiendish. There is just so much information. I think if I really sit down, go over homeworks & tutorials - draw out a formula sheet and make sure I know how to use those bad boys, I'll be fine. Right now I'm just quivering in my boots. My final isn't until tomorrow at 3:15 so I have *some* time.

Steph called me this morning. Goddamnit, it felt like the middle of the night. My roommate and I are sleeping - it's dark outside and our phone starts ringing. We don't have an answering machine/service (too lazy/cheap to sign up) so it just kept ringing. Finally, poor Elizabeth rolls out of bed and picks up the phone.
"Sarah? She isn't here?.. oh wait, she is.."
She was so tired and half-conscious, lmao. It's Steph - no "hey" or "it's steph." Just straight to business. Jesus effing Christ. At home she knew calling before noon was risky. Even if I was in central time it would have been 8:37 (a time I'm usually not awake at).. but for the love of god... IT WAS 6-FUCKING-37. As coherently as possible I tried to tell her the coordinates of my dorm. I sent her a letter explaining things yesterday and I told her this, she was like "Sorry.. I haven't gotten a letter." I JUST MAILED IT YESTERDAY. ohmigawd. I know Steph is probably under a lot of pressure and getting her butt whipped and she really needs these recommendations but for the pain and suffering she caused me on a day I had finals - a "hello" would have been nice.
Then I had to explain to Elizabeth what kind of crazy people I knew that would be calling me at all hours of the morning.

I'm going to be cliche and go "omgz Nikeh has a boyfriend." I can't wait to meet said fellow in the next few days - I've stolen several of his albums via Niki so I think I should probably give him a high five or something for that.
It looks like everyone is planning par-tays and such in Houston. Wow, yay - thanks for scheduling me up folks. My family will probably try to suffocate me with their undying love or something in the next few days, the escape will be much needed. I plan to be a total fun-sponge for 3 weeks.
Omgz, "Lost" is on. Have to go now! That hobbit-guy rocks.
