Mucking Around..
Nov. 27th, 2004 03:47 pmThere is nothing like an early sunset to make you feel totally ineffectual.
I have this looming pile of homework and I've found myself quite incapable of doing it in my vast amount of free time.
Yesterday, I didn't leave the hall once. Gross. Today I at least made two trips to the garbage can, did some recycling, and vacuuming. I hung up more decorations yesterday - chili pepper lights, leis, and a scarf-y fabric thing that I got in Greece. So at least when Elizabeth comes home to find my side slightly gaudier than when she left she will at least also be assaulted by how clean the room is.
Since they closed all the food places, I've been living off my room stores. There is something mildly disturbing about eating goldfish inside tomato soup - it has the quality of a bloody fish stew. Yum... linner.
If I can get this work out of the way the coming week will be so easy - the whole week will be lovely. I hope I can force myself to get it out of the way. I'd rather have free time when there are people around to enjoy it with.
iTunes has been my thanksgiving buddy. No, I've restrained myself and haven't bought anything - thank god. I'm not going to spend any more money until I make some.
My song today is Keane's "Somewhere Only We Know." Yes, because Sarah gets freaking attached to any song used in a TV ad and/or is on VH1 (my other Thanksgiving buddy - pathetic, I know.)
So that makes Sarah's (Running) Thankgiving playlist -
1. Snow Patrol - "Run"
2. Scissor Sisters - "Take Your Mama"
3. Keane - "Somewhere Only We Know"
4. The Killers, their entire album and the 3 singles I bought on iTunes
There are a lot of random Pixies, Who, Cake, Strokes, Franz, Smiths, etc. etc. tracks mixed in there. Something has to fill the other tens of hours. I'm just currently obsessing about the above.
