Sitting around.
Nov. 24th, 2004 08:27 pmI changed my facebook picture. I finally got a photoshop trial so I was able to resize a different picture.
Snow Patrol - Run
It's such a pretty song. It was on the mix Anthony gave to me - all the songs are really awesome but that one just strikes me as quite lovely today. SongMeanings.com has all of these really emo-interpretations of the song.
When I listen to songs, I hardly pay attention to lyrics unless they are amusing to me in some fashion or just generally kickass. I do think lyrics are important - I think some words, when sung, can make a song amazing in terms of just their sound. I don't know if that explanation makes sense but I'm sure most people understand that on some level - you can appreciate a song in a foreign language. The words can sound totally beautiful even if you have no idea what they mean. The words probably have some deep signifigance I don't care to tap but when Gary Lightbody sings "light up"- it just sounds gorgeous.
The song reminds me of Coldplay's "Yellow."
My current campaign is: "Do the world a favor, give an emo-kid a hug."
