Ok, so a couple things to write about today...

My trip to Bellingham, WA was pretty cool. The drive was really, really, really long - 7 hours (Bellingham isn't very far from Canada). It was awesome though. We met some cool kids from other colleges. The hosts, Western Washington, weren't actually a chapter yet. They've finished the petitioning process but they don't have enough people to get their Greek letters yet and make it onto the map of chapters. The largest group there was University of Alaska, Fairbanks. Eleven kids flew down so we could hold their petitioning ceremony (they are a step behind WW). It was cool because our chapter was the sponsering chapter so I had a speaking part in the ceremony and I put a petitioning pin on, I believe, the president of the fledgling group. Some UWash Seattle kids came with their advisor but only like.. 3.

My car stayed in of of the WW girl's houses, her living room was so cold in the morning you could see your breath. Ack. The second night we stayed at one of our member's parent's house. It was really, really nice. She has an awesome dog named Nitchtsky (sp? I spelled it how it's pronounced). It was a German Shepherd/Rottweiler mix. Scary sounding yes, it was just a 2 year old and and was sooo cute. He was playing with us all night. The car ride back was really amusing thanks to Dan. It was pretty cool. I liked meeting kids from other soon-to-be-hopefully chapters.

I just registered for my classes. I'm a little iffy on the schedule but I couldn't afford to be picky or self-righteous thanks to the thoroughly picked over selection. The one thing I'm holding out for is Theater Arts: 210 - Intro to Design which sounds really interesting. I hope it doesn't fill up in the next week because it's currently only open to TA majors and it conflicts with my current Physics class. It's at 8 and most of my schedule falls around the morning hours.

I'm working on an HTML table of my schedule.

Urghhh. I want the TA class or I have to stick with this English class or find something else to take. No me gusta. However, in order for this to all work out - the class has to fill and I have to snag a spot for the later physics class and pray that one opens up. It's going to throw my current schedule off by a lot but it will be better. I want to have the same teacher as last time - I just hope something opens up.

I have to get ready to go to class. I think I'm going to spend lunchtime in the APO office. Tonight is Big Unveiling and I am so excited!

lol! I totally forgot that you went to Western. Yeah, I was up there for an Alpha Phi Omega conference. We are a non-Greek co-ed community service fraternity. I know, isn't that confusing? The fledgling chapter at your school hosted a fellowship conference for our section which includes Oregon, Washington, Alaska, and maybe some parts of Idaho and/or Montana?

Your campus is very awesome. I like the little green men holding rocks in that courtyard. We don't have cool art like that on campus or the lovely different scales of elevation - the views were quite amazing from the building we were in ( I think the Viking Union?)

Haha, well that's really fun. I don't know the next time I'll be in Bellingham because I think our conference is going to be in Alaska next year but all of my fellow UOers really liked Bellingham so I don't know, maybe we will visit again.
