The most awesome retreat ever...

transomwhiplassOk, best weekend EVAR! I don't know if I can translate this into words because... oh my god, it was just this higher plateau of fun that I haven't visited in a very loooong time.
Here is a running list -
- Cute beagles, a one-eyed Beta fish, & an attention-loving cat
- OMFG LLAMAS! LOTS OF THEM OMGWTFBBQ!!!!!11 (there was a llama farm next to this girl's house)
- SOCCER - I haven't played soccer in SO long. I got to be goalie and I don't know what happened but I got SOOOO into it. I was like jumping in front of the ball and I caught some airborne ones, I was like at the peak of my soccer prowess even though I haven't played for 4 agonizing years. Everyone was like "oh my god Sarah, that was SOO awesome," "Sarah you were carrying the team," "wow.. those were amazing, mad goalie skills." The compliments made me blush sooo much, but I know I became this totally different person - I was cheering and running around and this weird, awesome competitive streak came out. I am SO sore today and my new jeans are totally caked in mud and covered with grass stains. We are going to have weekly soccer games from now on. I forgot how much I missed it.
- Pancake & cookie making
- The "Ha-Ha" game: You form a long chain by putting your head on eachothers stomachs, then each person says "ha" one more time than the last person. If people start laughing (which they always do) you have to start over. But it's just this long wave of connected laughing - it's amazing.
- This game where one person improvs and another person plays their arms from behind - I forgot what it's called but I know I've seen it played before. Well, I had to be Anthony's arms and he was supposed to be a ballet dance instructor. It was SO funny he was lisping and I was just dying of laughter. At one point I was just laughing so hard while he was trying to do pliés and he was just like "I need to see more hand motions! I'm sorry, I don't know what's wrong with me today!" which just made me laugh even harder as I tried to do arch-y arm movements from behind him. At one point I had to put hair clips in (on request of Katie) and I totally botched the job and I think he had a hard time taking them out. It was soooo fun though.
- Pirates of the Carribean, Peter Pan, & The Simpsons
- Crazy Twister & yoga
- Interpretational dances to Bohemian Rhapsody
- Line dancing to Cake's "She'll Come Back to Me" & "Italian Leather Sofa"
- Team-building exercises
- Huge amounts of laughing
- And, of course, those college-y late night philosophical discussions
I'm in such a good place right now, it's just awesome. Between that and having iTunes again.. wow. Not to mention the awesome shared music feature so I'm totally streaming lots of Belle & Sebastian, Cake, Flaming Lips, and all of this stuff.

My roommate hasn't gotten back yet, she went home for the weekend. I'm going to work on doing my laundry and develop a battle plan for tackling the mud on those jeans.
