Today was pretty cool. Niki & her family took me to a baseball game. It was the "Future All-Stars" Game which is one of the many events preceeding the actual All-Stars game which is sometime this week.
It was a short game - 7 innings; the teams were divided into "USA" & "World" even though all the player were on pro-American teams. It seems a bit unfair to sort it that way. USA won I think. It was short because it was followed by a Celebrity & Legends softball game. Notables included Jimmy Kimmel & Bill Rancic (the Apprentice). I was thrilled to bits about Bill, I adore him. Anyway, we had a lot of fun. The seats were fabulous. Niki drove on the freeway. We ate a super chocolate-y sundae out of a plastic hat. Two of the legends were named "Goose Gossard" & "Rollie Fingers," those names a freaking awesome. People today name their kids stupid stupid last names or bastardized forms of normal names. Baker, Bailey, Smith & Madysn, Jezikah, Genifer. Ok, so maybe that's an exaggeration.. a little. I'm still going to force a brother to name his kid "Elmer" so it can phonetically be "Elm or Oaks." Haha.
I want a punny child. Not puny. Punny.
I went to this invitation only Container Store college-crap bonanza discount night. It was rather dull. I was pissed that I had to go because it was one of those things where you know you will see at least 1 person from your past and you won't want to talk to them/know how to act, so you end up dodging them and throwing awkward stares. Or is that just me?
Oh woe is me. I just watched "the Breakfast Club" on TV and it made me feel like I wasted childhood & high school. Then I was like, whoa - being a teenager in the 80s would be cool. That was until I remembered DJ from Full House. That kind of pops the bubble in a nauseating cloud of hair spray.
I don't think I have ceramics class tomorrow and my mom can't take me to the pantry to help volunteer with Niki. I are a bum and stuck in my house tomorrow.
This may have been the dullest post evar. Sorry.
