I didn't do much today. I woke up, at 2:30. However, several days of thorough and entirely scientific research has led me to come to an extremely important and revolutionary breakthrough on my personal human sleeping patterns. That is..

The most effective way to wake me up is by raising the temperature of the room. I could sleep through a bomb, I'm not exaggerating. I can have people jump on my bed, hit me, etc. However, it is the mild discomfort that pulls me out of the sweet bliss of REM into reality. Also, drinking lots of water before going to bed, the old Bart-Simpson-before-Christmas-trick. Oh the sheer fun.

The thing is, our air conditioning is whack. The default is 80 degrees. Someone should fix that, instead: I have to override the thing manually on a daily basis. I guess this way, I'm not sleeping till 4.

Today I saw "Dodgeball" with Niki, Sarah, Alex, & Greg. It was pretty funny but there were several awkward, flow-disrupting, unnecessary jokes that I really disliked. I have now seen 8/14 movies at Tinseltown.

Niki & I went to Red Robin afterwards.

Then I came home, did some AIMing (I'm on pretty often these days). Oh, and I cam-whored for a little while. I'm trying to figure out how I can piece them together into a clever montage. It should also have a jaunty, poignant title. Something possibly punning on the glow of the monitor.



THINGS SARAH NEEDS TO DO:

- new website AND LJ layout.
- clean my room (my zen is full of bad juju, I'M TOTALLY FREAKING OUT)
- write thank you notes.
- get a job
- plan our picnic
- figure out Wednesday's plans

WANTS TO DO:

- buy some books
- then some cds
- make a database with the basic location and info for all the 1000s of books in our house
- see "the Terminal" & "A Daw Without a Mexican" & "Farenheit 9/11"



The men-folk are back tomorrow. I'm crossing my fingers that one whole week of non-stop boy scoutin' will satiate my dad for a few months. I'm hoping Anthony will be fresh out of jackass and not bother me with his "better-than-thou" complex for a couple weeks. I hope John isn't homicidal, self-mutilated, or in anyway deranged from such a harrowing experience. I think he will just end up basking in the glow of the television for exactly a week.

I want to go work at the Angelika or some other trendy Indie hotspot so I can feel good and elitist and emo.


Plus, I've honestly seen like.. half of the mainstream crap. I want to cry, the only things I haven't seen are:

- The Terminal (probably will in the next 48 hours)
- A Day Without a Mexican (hopefully I will see it)
- Garfield ("Excuse me, I just threw up a little... in my mouth")
- Around the World in 80 Days (ditto)
- Raising Helen (ugh, I hate Rom-Coms.. whoa, that sounds cool. I'm totally coining that.)
- The Day After Tomorrow (maybe I will.. sneak into it?)
- Soul Plane (No way, damn.. I hate Tom Arnold)



Conan O'Brien

I found it today, it is full of his wonderous old material. The Euros, Quarters, Actual Items, If They Mated, & Celebrity Secrets. Oh, it delighted me for hours.
