Ohemgee folks, I haven't posted in like... a week. I've been so busy I guess it has slipped my mind. Oh well.
Woo! Niki finally got a journal
nikehness.
Ok so my week:
I've been waiting for my lucky streak to end - it kind of did. I figured out that I had perfect timing and I could push things past back and finish them exactly at the last second. Yeah.. that ended. I had some nasty government citations that I don't think turned out very well. We will see what grade I got. If it is good, I'm going to Vegas; bad, well.. it is over. The end of the week brought some luck though so I'm thinking that I'm still golden. My drawing teachers want to submit at least 2 pieces to TAPPS, those were the only two I had at school. They want my ink drawing and my prismacolor (the only prismacolor they are submitting - haha, under the theme category too). Ms. C wants my drawings too, I like those and worked hard on those so I'm guess I will send either one or two of those as well. So that means I will be participating through about 3-4 pieces, the newspaper, the javascript test, & the current events test. Crazy. They never loved me this much before. Ms. C said she was in my fan club. That was such an ego boost I cackled about it all day.
I can't stop obsessing about the Ouizno's commercials. They make me laugh until I think I'm going to pee. You can watch them online Quiznos.com.
I'm so tired of school. I know that is obvious and everyone is, but I am really really really really tired of school. I won't bored you will the painful details but I have a raging case of senioritis. I want out.
Today I got a thick envelope from University of Oregon, I almost did a happy dance. It was just a thank you for applying and a residence application form & packet. Still not in but I need to apply for residence. Looking through the packet made me really excited though. I don't know what it was - the pictures, the questions, the options; the whole thing thrilled me to the core. I'm really looking forward to college, sure I have a bit of anxiety but I really feel ready for the plunge. I'm not worried about making friends wherever I go - I found people at SAA no problem. College is an even bigger place with even more new people - finding some people shouldn't be a problem. I know I'm prepped for academics and getting involved. Sure I have a bit of anxiety for going to a new place but that is totally overshadowed by the promise of such a new place. A new room, a new group of people to live with. Ok, that is such babble but I'm really excited right now. As far as UO residency, I think I will apply to the Creative Arts hall as my first choice, Tech as second (sure it's probably a nerds dorm but it might have better Internet and bootleg software - I need the new photoshop), and maybe Honors third. I don't know.. Rice is still my first above all choices but I'm comforted right now for some strange reason.

In the news:
Fuck Nader, that scummy little asshole decided to run again. I bet the Republicans who will start feeding him money for sure. God help us all.
Town of Climax bans shirts bearing its name
CLIMAX, Minn. (AP) — Showing town spirit in Climax is cause for punishment in this Minnesota town.
Shirley Moberg, superintendent of Climax-Shelly schools, said T-shirts bearing the town's slogan "Climax — More than just a feeling," are inappropriate because of the sexual innuendo.
About a dozen students wore centennial T-shirts to school this week in protest, and one girl was sent home Wednesday for refusing to turn her shirt inside out.
School officials had said nothing to students wearing the shirts until recently, when a teacher wore it to school and a person complained. The shirts are no longer allowed to be worn at school, she said.
Climax, a town of 270 near the North Dakota border, adopted the "More than a feeling" slogan in 1996 for its centennial. The slogan was used in advertising and promotions, and the T-shirts have been around for years.
The students who wore the shirt to school Wednesday were told to go to the bathroom and turn it inside out. All did, except 18-year-old Bethany Grove, a senior, who was suspended for the afternoon.
"The T-shirt has been a tradition," Grove said. "It's been around for almost 10 years. A lot of people have them."

SNL was kind of funny last night. Yeah, Jimmy Fallon's joke about the end of the Georgia educational board's attempt to ban the word "evolution", was the best. "As a compromise, Dinosaurs will now be called 'Jesus Horses'." Christina Aguilera is a ho to the core. She really wasn't funny and the writers couldn't make her funny. She was replaceable in every single sketch. A good host defines the role so perfectly and makes it so funny that no one else could possibly be imagined playing it otherwise. She was a filler and she sucked. I had high hopes because the Justin Timberlake and Jessica Simpson/Nick Lachey episodes were probably the funniest this season. Oh, and she did this awkward solo sans background music as the opener I just kept asking when it would be over. She has a good voice but she is a ho and not funny. Oh well.
Maroon 5 was good though, I think they turned off the keyboarder's microphones though. Hm.. I kept wondering if it was intentional or an accident.

Speech tourney wasn't so fun. I didn't really enjoy myself or feel as important this time.
Ok. Sorry this post really sucked.
Here is a baby picture of me to bring you joy.
