Hey Sarah.
This is Connie, by the way. This has been eating away at me for a couple of days now. I just wanted to let you know that it was definately NOT me who left a comment on your journal the other day; it was a friend who ran across your journal through random connections.
I like you, and I also really respect your helpfulness and work ethic. It is for these reasons that I was really hurt by your entry. But, I've realized that not everyone is going to have a 100% great impression of me, nor are they going to agree with me every time. I'm not sure where I'm going with this, but I mainly just don't want any ill-will between us. Anywho, I just wanted to talk (or, in this case, comment on your journal) to you instead of let this sit and rot.

Aw Connie. I'm really sorry that I even posted that. I was.. really upset for other reasons and you may have noticed that I deleted it. My temper has put me in trouble, I should really get banned from writing when I'm in a bad mood. I want you to know that I really respect your political views and I think you are extremely well informed on the issues. You in no way have your "head up your ass", just replace your name with "my mother" and you will get better insight to who I was trying to hurt. Politics in no way should break up good relationships - they just aren't that important. Your friend is quite wise, I did have my head up my ass that day. Something I want you to know, the only reason I was pushed into looking closer at the democratic party was because my mom told me that my views were really republican, just like her. Laura asked me to join the democratic party with her and I chickened out. To tell you the truth, I'm not exactly sure where my beliefs lie - I'm just trying to nail them down by learning more. So far I found that they really fall closer to that of a liberal democrat, but I'm not committing myself. My view of anti-abortion (one Laura holds too) is really inconsistent with that position. I think it is so great that you know who you are this early.. junior year I couldn't tell you the definition of gubernatorial or caucus. You are absolutely amazing, and we are so lucky to have you on the paper to balance out the overwhelming number of liberal democrats - only you, so ardent and outspoken, have been able to bully back the opposition. You have an amazing head on your shoulders and I hope you will keep writing amazing opinion pieces, I don't trust Megan to as articulately present Republican views as you. I'm so sorry I hurt you, I don't really think that about you and it was an unfortunate, but well deserved kick in the ass for me. I can't blame you if you think less of me, but I hope you won't because of how much absolute respect for you I have. Again I apologize, Sarah is not super.. she is quite a dumb ass that should exercise a little self-restraint.

Oh, but you ARE super. :) <-- that's me, smiling. You have irrefutably proven your sincerity to me. I think more of you, if anything, for your outstanding ability to deliver such impressive apology speeches. Perhaps it was only impressive to me, as I was the one praised throughout. Just a joke! No, but really, thank you for all that you said. I have bad days as well, and I totally understand the mishap. Also, perhaps your mom really isn't that bad...she did raise a remarkably intelligent and mature girl!
