sarah is a süper (s-yoo-per) girl!
Jul. 16th, 2003 11:28 amHey YA'LL! LOL
Everyone in Oregon reacts like, "You are from Texas?! You couldn't be! You have no accent! No drawl at all!"
Anyway. I've been keeping mighty busy. Yesterday was my first day at the office where I've been dissecting an ancient sponser link list and updating the database (which today I was told to alphabetize and format.... durr ¬_¬;;) Anyyway. I could have updated but I didn't. I had a HUUUUUUGE stack (several hundreds) of extensive survey's that my uncle collected approx. 2 years ago and never used (sounds like the family way). So I've been going through inserting volunteer coding as well as bits of information and good quotes if I find them. Bleh. I just finished yesterdays junk that I did faster than I was expected to. Now I get to sort links on what was a print out of 11 pages!! Check out my voyage @ MindFreedom Links. Note: the sponser links all fix-y-up-ed haven't been uploaded. Har har. But look below.
Anyway. Remember how I said my aunt didn't get sick. Well she did. REALLY bad yesterday. We had to leave kind of early. Uhhgh we felt so bad because we knew what she was going through. Well she woke up today through the storm. But seriously, that was a nasty bug that we and a whole bunch of others caught. My uncle is going to call the health department.
My office is so fun. I share half with the building manager (because an elevator was put in part of my uncle's office so he got some more space). I have my own teal iMac and my own teal key board and teal mouse and teal mini fan and one of those really big bouncy ball things (also teal) which I'm using as a chair because the other one was stuffed funny and felt like a dorky perch. I have a big ol' window about 200 feet from a tiny branch of the prison in the middle of town. HAHA. I'm going to bring my camera tomorrow so I can show some pictures of my magical journey. I didn't take any in the forest cos' I was worried about losing my camera, my uncle did... of me.. often look disgruntled and junk. Haha. So yeah! I even have photoshop on my iMac so I can crop and resize and do all that lovely buisness.
I'm starting to think I could do desk jockey work as long as I get to sit on a bit rubber ball with a cute lil' mac and DSL and my own office and listen to CDs. I'm having fun so thats fun.
I LOVE THIS BALL! I want one for home Soooo bad. Here is why it is a great chair:
-Its fun and colorful - keeps the imagination awake.
-Vertical bouncing is fun and keeps you awake and can be done while typing.
-It promotes better posture because if you slouch you fall off and/or can't reach the key board sometimes.
-Rolling in circles with your lower body is good ab exercise.
The only thing is if you sit a reeeeally long time and you get warm, and wear denim. Your legs kind of sweat x_x. Otherwise, its süper! Well, I'm back to the grindstone.
