Charlie's Angels 2: Full Throttle

transomwhiplassWe saw Charlie's Angels 2 today. It was what I expected except for one huge, blaring, awful problem. The soundtrack (which was awesome - fast paced, exciting mix of new & classic rock) would have made a GREAT background to the movie - had it been the background. Basically, the voices the entire movie were almost reduced to white noise. It was insane, you couldn't hear a word. At one point, the theater I was at cranked the volume on the loud music even louder my ear drum was pierced.
Otherwise. The movie was a great action flick. It was what it promised. I hate critics who blah on about "no plot," "stupid," & "ridiculous." This was not cinema, not an Oscar contender (though the graphics were really good), nor was it a serious role for anyone in the movie. I went to see the action kick-butt-ed-ness of it all. The funny costume changes and Cameron Diaz shake her butt in the most hilarious of all ways. The three of them dancing to "U Can't Touch This" is absolutely hilarious. Yeah. The movie was stupid and there were bad guys coming out from everywhere and the plot was mad and hard to follow (because you couldn't hear over the music - see up) but it was funny. There are just classicly funny moments. I did not go to see the Drama of the year. That is the problem - critics always compare all movies alike and boo-hiss the fun ones. Anyway. I will be purchasing the soundtrack - it was good, but I hear they cut some stuff - that stuff I will download.
Anyway. I wish I had more time this summer. I all the sudden want to take on some big, DIY projects. Like seriously big. Like probably some carpentry & sewing and all that grittiness. I can't stop thinking about the things I could do and make. Its my new obsession. I feel like Kevin Costner in "Field of Dreams" and "Build it and They'll Come." Its so weird. I lie in my bed till about 5:30, my thoughts just screaming and racing. Its driving me nuts.
Anyway. Shirts in 2 days. My bookshelf will be here soon. I need to get rid off these creative juices which are surging this crazy adrenaline in me.
