MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!
Jun. 25th, 2003 12:31 amOk, so why am I "mwahaha"ing? There is a very good explanation.

In attempts to feel like I've donesomething this summer, like last summer was reading (which I did and recorded diligently - go me!), I've been finding a daily "tidying" task. Yesterday I successfully (if I say so myself) scrubbed the moldy midew junk off the brick in the shower. I swear to god my family is co-existing with that toxic, horrible black mold stuff; we are not sick - thus: a) We are immune, in which case we should open a buisness cleaning it up and rake in the dough. b) Its a sick marketing ploy and conspiracy of insurance companies and squatters who live in your house while it is cleaned. People: 3/4 cup of bleach per gallon of water. Did the trick: that, sweat, and some elbow grease. It looks marvelous. Anyway- today's task. I'm so proud.
Today I sorted my entire "My Pictures" folder. Now yes, you normal people probably have a folder with 20-200 odd pictures here and there. Well, I had about 15 folders and inside: 2,520 pictures. Those being: layouts, icons, avators, sprites, wallpapers, images, etc, etc etc. It was like a VERY messy room - messy for about 4 1/2 years: you get used to it and know where everything is (85% of the time >_>;;) but it is still EXTREMELY messy. I'm one of those people that is worried she will die, of freak causes (of course), and when people are going through my junk after my untimely demise - they will "tut tut" my mess, won't be able to find something relating to my eulogy, etc. Everything must be neat so a toddler could find something. Well I took those folders, and subfoldered them, and even subfoldered some of those. I now have 234 pictures. Everything is tidy and I know where EVERY picture is. I'm so proud. I have special pictures for stuff I often loose. I even have my own nifty folder labeled "Work" for every little thing I've ever done. ISN'T THAT NIFTY! I also have one called "Unfinished Buisness & Random Unused Crap" for all the shit I've made that was so awful I just re-did it. Oh I'm good. Its kind of scary. Just like when you clean your room after a long time. You still know where everything is (you just moved everything yourself, by hand) but it is.... in different places and .. not the same. I'm going to have to make due, but I think it will be ok. Life is good.
I ordered two t-shirts today! I'm such a money waster, especially since I'm making nothing this summer. Crap to that. I spent $42 (+s/h) for two Yum-Pop tees that are SO cute. One is pink and has a picture of sushi and says "Raw Power" and the other is blue and has two vegi's carrying a beet and says "We got the Beet!" Oh exciting. Did I mention the Harry Potter hand-knit scarf I ordered from some girl in Atlanta? Yeah, $20 (w/ s/h). Oh Sarah is bad. She also wants this: Gap Poplin Skirt in Stone. Its been on sale at that price for $20 and I know it will drop to like $10 the second I order it. It's cute, I want a preppy little khaki skirt. Funny how I don't have one as a uniform, funny/sad how I want to wear something that looks like it is part of a school uniform. I'm in clothes denial, people. I love online shopping. It is so easy and fast and wonderful. I don't like store shopping: too hard, heavy, and I always have misgivings about spending. AH! Online shopping will be the end of me and my bank account.
Have I mentioned how much I like Niki today? She is the only person I've talked to/seen in person this summer. At least she cares and finds me amusing. She is keeping me sane. Oh and she likes the t-shirt previews. Dude.
Project/Tasks To Do:
- Vector Harry Potter Picture #2
- Make new LJ layout using it.
- Buy Summer Reading Stuff; read it. (+ get financial AP chart from Niki)
- Fix up Ronnie Howard Layout for web
- Defrost icebox
- Organize Cabinet
Ok. I'm going to grab some water and get to bed.
