1) No leadership
2) No awards
3) No extra-curriculars 'xept orchestra
4) No real service 'xept for some at my church
5) Probably some bad reccomendations: (TANGENT: my family totally understands this.. my dad got into NHS at his jesuit high school and he said it was the hugest joke.. my uncle tried to get in... he got blackballed by his teacher.. my uncle is really intelligent... like.. he can look at you.. and see through you.. see your weaknesses see what you are afraid of.. he did that to his teacher.. and.. lol... he didnt get into nhs.. it wasnt the end of the world though.. he graduated harvard.. magna cum laude..)

---

Teachers who probably wrote stuff and what they probably said:

ENGLISH
Mr. Novo (one of my favorites): Sarah is a very shy girl that doesnt participate in class much... (he knows I dont... he almost kept me out of honors because of it)
Mr. Filardo : Sarah is quiet.. she doesnt really participate in discussion.. and she sleeps through my class everyday

THEOLOGY
Mr. Buckley: Sarah is a very nice girl..
Mr. Miller: Sarah sleeps, draws, and studies for other classes in my class

MATH:
Ms. Thompson: Sarah didnt try enough to be in honors
Ms. Stasio: " "
Ms Holden: Sarah is a nice girl.. I dont think she tried to hard when I had her for geometry.. but when I got to tour with her this summer in Europe.. I think she means well?
Ms. Bookout: Sarah was a hard working student at the beginning of the year.. however.. after semester.. her work habits broke down and she stopped trying.. she continued making the same mistakes and didnt fix them

SCIENCE
Ms. Crank: Sarah is a nice girl.. not the smartest in the class.. but kind of a brown noser I think..
Ms. Jonte: Sarah is pretty good at chemistry but she isnt the class leader or anything

LANGUAGE
Mr. Hildebrand: No longer at SAA..
Mr. Zoch (probably actually gave me a good recommendation): Sarah is a nice girl.. she sleeps sometimes.. but other than that.. I think she is one of my students that makes an effort

HISTORY
Mr. Richardson: Sarah is nice.. she writes good essays that get grades higher in her class.. however, she doesnt participate as the other students do..she draws and sometimes studies I think.. she sleeps a lot too

P.E.
Coach Fuller: Not at SAA anymore
Coach McCue: Sarah is an ok student
Coach Dobrowski: I think she laughs at me.. she doesnt try hard enough in my class (lol.. i dont think he wrote the first part)

and if they actually sent this thingy to the music department..

ORCHESTRA
Mr. Peri: Sarah is a nice student.. but she doesnt bow long enough or use vibrato.. she isnt TRYING enough to be a leader
Mr. Hernandez: Sarah can be disrespectful.. she talks to the rest of the violin section and she talks back to me sometimes..

I know it may seem I am being really hard on myself.. but its true.. I sleep in every class but fitness... because i stay up so late on weekdays.. I dont participate.. I just.. cant..and I dont konw.. my teachers.. well.. I am just one of those students none of them really know about.. oh well. next year I will try.. I will sleep at 7 pm.. do all my homework and then some.. and participate every frickin day... how does that sound?

Don't bother. It's a waste of time and effort. Seriously- do something that'll get you somewhere in life. Start studying independently- learn a new language, teach yourself to draw, cut hair, play a new instrument, or something that interests you!

You don't need NHS. You're far too smart/unique to waste your talent doing things for a school that treats you like trash until after you graduate.

Also... just a hunch, but I'd be willing to bet part of the reason they didn't let you in is because of the friends you hang around. If your don't get good grades or are always doing wild things, then the NHS people naturally think that you're the same way. I don't think it's right to judge people based on who they hang out with. That's a big reason of why I hate NHS.

Ask Sam 'bout NHS
He'll tell you about how they only use them for work.
