urgh.. I haven't updated in so long..
Apr. 30th, 2003 10:21 pmI've been so stressed out, I haven't updated in what feels like a week. -.-;;
So here is what's happening: this week & next week are such total shit I can hardly stand to just like.. exist in them. I want a power off switch, I'll power back on as soon as they are over but I do not, like, want to be conscious for these weeks. I think this is why people get stoned off their asses, damn.. I be lackin' da connections. LOL- true, but I'm not ready to become an addict yet.
On top of my whole service project thing which I need to clear up w/ uncle & parents - not to mention talk to Ms. Skopal. Grades ares being very hard to maintain. Here are my estimates for my state of mind:
Pre-Cal: A/B+ (It depends a lot on the test I took today, I think I did alright so that's good; it was derivatives & limits - the actual beginnings of calculus- yes, it was some yucky material)
Physics: A (Definetly not as high an A as I want, I just slacked so much when I could have done like 10% more work and paid that much more attention and secured a 97 or 98, whoops)
English: A/B+ (I am doing VERY well in English, you know how one grade can just totally make or break your spirit? Well, since I got that A on my Huck Finn paper [very few did] & she gave me an 8 on my practice essay, my writing morale has skyrocketed. I have enjoyed Catch 22 and actually highlighted details, I've seen 10-20 pt increase on my quiz grades)
Morality: A (Haha.. duh... I have a high A too)
Jouranlism: A (As always..)
Latin: B (Probably, what a shame- I got an A last quarter. That one test kicked my ass and I've been slacking on my translation [if doing it at all] and he has noticed.. daily grade down- poo :( )
History: A (I know this cos' she showed us. VERY surprising because I swore that I failed the last 2 tests. My grade was lowered by my paper which was an A, but a v. low A. I still have 2 tests and some assignments, the good thing is the material is making a lot of sense to me so countering that evil B from last quarter is very much possible providing I work for it)
Orchestra: All I have to say is I BETTER have an A or I will be pissed. I got mostly A-'s on my test off which is pretty good considering I never play the music I had to test on, also- I was using fingerings an octave lower. HAHAHA. OH well.. I always get an A. If I DO get a B, which better not happen, it will hopefully avg. with my A from last quarter for the all important semester A- rendering quarter meaningless.
Here is my calendar for my own mental health. This is at least everything I can think of.
Friday - Physics Quiz, Orchestra Concert
Saturday - SAT
Sunday - Junior Ring Ceremony
Tuesday - AP English (Language)
In there are assorted tests, etc. but those are major events I can think of.
My god, induction was SOOOOOOOO LONG! We had to have mass before so that just lengthened things.
I want editor so bad. The Mesa-chist was inducted as Vice-President. Katie (current editor) sat behind me at the induction, I hope she sees Laura is taking on too much. That girl really bothers me.. yes it is back to being like that. First I couldn't stand her, then I was like.. "wow laura likes me... I like her!", now its like "that conniving little tramp needs to come down, OL' SKOOL' (haha)!" It bugs me that she is trying to constantly coup power in journalism and ms. babcock constantly lets her make major decisions like what color the tagboard for the cover we should use. Even though Nikki (errr.. don't know how to spell her version of her name) volunteered to take care of "Reflections" this year. Laura didn't know so I picked... but it was the fact that Ms. Babcock went to HER.. and asked HER.. without even LOOKING at anyone else. This is very rough. Laura is having problems understanding how we need to layout the pages on word so they will print accordingly into a booklet so I've been dealing with that. I'm sorry.. I think sports editor is a joke, but Katie loves sports so I'm totally fucked. UGH! Laura also parades around telling people she is president of Amnesty even though Niki is and she went to Elizabeth before coming to me where she proposed "we bring down Elizabeth." V. bothersome as not first choice, how dare she. ~_~ I do not know what I'm going to do. Nikki asked me yesterday "so Ms. Babcock has pretty much given Laura editor?" "thats what I'm worried about." ::Blood-curdling scream:: UGH UGH UGH UGH UGH UGH! I want this, I need this.. little ms. dictator can go find something else to appease her appetite for total control.
Lala.. ok. I'm so happy, I have basically no homework. I have to work on my English thingy which I guess was due today, but whatever. I'll just be like - uh... oh.. I didn't know, sorry ^_^;; because I didn't.
Life will be better by May 12, I think.
