I'm so between..
Feb. 20th, 2003 08:23 pmI haven't been posting much, and I seriously regret that.. I've been very busy and I guess taht covers it all.
I haven't been doing anything really interesting lately, just surviving school. It's getting very monotonous going everyday to the same classes. I'm so tired of it all, I want new classes/new activities.
N.B. This weekend is the SAA/SJ Peace Rally. If you aren't going, you should. Why? Cos' peace is cool. No, there are other serious reasons too. We aren't allowed to be anti-Bush, or anti-republican, or anti-politics; basically we can only be pro-peace. That's ok though, I think. It's going to be interesting, word has it, the young republican club(s) are coming out to protest the protest. It was funny, someone was talking about all these freshmen supporting the Republicans, Ms. Tallman said, "Gosh! Don't even get me started about the freshmen! They believe whatever there parents tell them." Not all Republicans are bad, but ignorant ones are. I know one SEVERLY IGNORANT Republican, he/she brags about blindly following Bush no matter what he does. It is the epitomy of stupid I tell you. I believe everyone has a right to their opinion, all parties alike. However, when you don't even think about what you are supporting, you just do it because its what everyone else is doing and it seems "cool." In my mind, you a frankly a moron. This person is very much so, not just due to this, but countless other acts of stupidity. Yargh!
I made posters today, that was fun. I'm bringing a poncho tomorrow cos' it probably will rain. I might draw on it, maybe something like "Rain can't wash peace efforts away!" That is sort of corny.
I have the JCL tourney this weekend. I'm really freaked out and I have to make a mosaic my Saturday. Crap-on-a-stick.
I have several layouts to make. I want the one I'm working on to be really good! I can't seem to find that... that one thing that makes it great in my eyes. Its like divine inspiratino when I figure it out.
If Elizabeth doesn't leave me alone, I will remove her vocal chords with my pencil, I swear to god. She never stops nagging me, "BLAH BLAH! SARAH HELP MEEEEEEE!" "YOU KNOW SARAH, YOU SHOULD DO THIS FOR YOUR ARTICLE" "BLAH BLAH I THINK MY IDEAS ARE SO GREAT, LITTLE DO I KNOW THAT I LACK SO MUCH COMMON SENSE I CAN'T SEE HOW STUPID THEY ARE!" She talks so much, she won't let me explain what I'm doing. For instance, I am planning on writing an article about next years laptops:
"BLAH BLAH! YOU SHOULD PUT A PICTURE OF THAT YAO MING COMMERCIAL AND YOU KNOW, THE SHORT GUY. YEAH AND THEY ARE ON A PLANE AND HE HAS A SMALL ONE AND THE OTHER GUY HAS A BIG ONE, ITS A FUNNY COMMERCIAL"
Then I have to explain "No Elizabeth, my article is going to be on 'school' laptops, not 'all' laptops."
"OH REALLY! WOW! WHATS GOING TO BE ON NEXT YEARS LAPTOPS?!"
"I don't know that is what I intend to find out"
Don't even get me started on when she lays out her pages and leaves those huge holes of empty spaces, she ENLARGES her pictures, not to mention, out-of-proportion. She leaves these gobs of pixels, its like "WTF is that?" She wrote this article about raffle and found these bizarre pictures to represent each kind of ticket seller i.e. "over achiever" etc. They were huge, didn't really apply to her article and were of poor quality. Finally, Sarah the senior just didn't use them, Elizabeth had a hissy fit. Yargh.
I so want to be editor.
I'm falling asleep, I don't sleep till late these days. I feel lifeless all over.
