I cleaned my room. I'm soooo good. I also went, like, chinese paper lantern crazy, they had a whole bunch at the party store. I also got a big, nifty, purple one with a suspended lightbulb kit from Target. I set all of those up and put up a new string of chili-pepper lights around my closet. I took the pepper covers off the old string and put them on a plain string because I burned out all of the bulbs on the first one. There was no sense in changing all the bulbs when I could just cap a generic type. Plus I couldn't find any clear replacement bulbs at the store, only colored ones. So now I have an extra string of chili pepper lights and I don't know where to put them. Maybe I will take pictures of my room or something. I'm so pleased with my hodge-podge of colors. That is how I like my room. Cluttered with useless junk collected over the years but clean to where nothing is in stacks and everything has a place.
Anyway, as uninteresting as that is. We are painting the tree house before I have people over. I graffitied it while testing some spray paint. Yesterday we cleaned it and today we have to put on the primer. Yesterday was awful. Nora decided she HAD to help. "WHY DO YOU GET TO DO ALL THE ART PROJECTS?!!??!" Not really an art project but whatever. Originally I said she could pick the paint color but then she started talking crazy colors and I realized I had to go. In the end she had to choose something reasonable. She didn't want white, but I didn't want my color and something bizarre of her liking that would make the tree house stand out like a giant beacon of ugliness in our yard. So I chose white and forced her to pick something. In the end she chose red and I said we could spray paint the white parts gold.
Our house needs cleaning as does our yard. I don't know when the yard men come or even how often. I think it is Tuesdays when I'm at school. I want them to come this week because my dad cut down a shit-load of foliage and left it dead in the yard. The yard is bushwacked. Because of the drought all the dead plants are brown and dried out. Its disgusting. Our backyard reeks of deadness. We also have a nasty patch of dead grass in our front yard. RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAIN. Blah, my neighborhood is a vibrant green the entire year but everything looks sort of duller with the drought. Ok.. welll I should get to that primer.
